Dave Burris Touted as the New Sussex GOP Chair
According to Celia Cohen, Dave Burris of First State Politics is the "consensus choice" to take over as the new chair of the Sussex County GOP. In additon to his blogging, Dave, who comes from a well regarded political family, has done real, ground level political organizing. Let's all wish him well and hope he continues to keep us all up to speed via FSP.

Congrats to Dave!
Geeze that Grapevine article showed how intertwined our public figures are in their private sector jobs, but Dave would know that since his pop has a lucrative position as lobbyist for the state Chamber of Commerce.
Dave is a decent guy, wrong on just about everything, but decent.
I'd wish him luck, but knowing him he'll probably rely more on hard work than luck.
BTW - funny Celia does not mention the blog. She is still in the "if I ignore them they will go away" school.
When Celia says "consensus choice," she means "only declared candidate."
I had no idea. I rarely read Ms. Cohen.
But, yes, Dave, Congratulations! There is no one better for the job.
